Safety and Security

The safety and security of our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, partners, and staff is our top priority at DTECH. While much of our security infrastructure is working behind the scenes in conjunction with the Georgia World Congress Center, we are continuously reviewing and enhancing our procedures to ensure the safest experience possible for everyone.

Important Reminder: A government-issued photo ID is required to pick up your badge onsite. Badges must be picked up individually, and the name on your registration must match the name on your ID.

Security measures and operational plans are in place at our events, including:

  • Badge/ticket verification
  • Uniformed and covert security guards
  • Crowd management staff, signage and barriers, as necessary

To help us all stay safe and secure during the event, here are five key things you can do:

1. Remove Your Badge When Exiting the Event

While badges are required within the event space, please remove your badge when leaving the event space. Ensure you always have your credentials on you, do not to leave them unattended or dispose of them in public receptacles.

2. Stay Aware of Your Surroundings

Always remain alert, especially in crowded areas. Trust your instincts—if something doesn’t feel right, take note of it. If you see something, say something. Please report any suspicious activity immediately to event management or onsite security personnel.

3. Protect Your Belongings
Keep your valuables close to you at all times. For added security, consider storing important items in your hotel room or locked storage when possible.

4. Limit Cash and Use Secure Payment Methods
We recommend carrying only what you need in cash. For your safety, use credit cards or ATMs, when possible, to minimize the risk of theft. Keep your ID on you at all times.

5. Enjoy Responsibly
Be mindful of alcohol consumption, especially in unfamiliar environments. Stay aware of your limits and look out for each other.
