Yevgeniy Postnov holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the California State University, Sacramento. He is a Senior Distribution Operations Engineer with 7 years of utility experience and holds a Professional Engineering License in Electrical Engineering. Yev is part of the Distribution Operations Engineering team at SMUD and worked on the development and deployment of an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS). He is leading the development of advanced functionality in ADMS and DERMS such as Realtime Distribution Power Flow, State Estimation, and Fault Location Isolation and Service Restoration (FLISR), Virtual Power Plants, and DER communications, as well as supporting day to day real-time operations. Additionally, Yev has experience working with Energy Management Systems and Research & Development projects.
