Wayne D. Callender is the Managing Principal of Research and Innovation at CPS Energy.  

Wayne has been with CPS Energy for 30 years, and has worked on a variety of projects, including: rate design; wholesale deregulation; retail market design; advanced meter infrastructure (AMI) and meter data management (MDM) procurement and deployment; home area networks (HAN) pilots and deployments; load research and analysis; Zero Emissions Resource Manager overseeing 1.5 GW of renewable contracts and 200 MW of demand response resources; and most recently was responsible for the operation of CPS Energy solar and storage assets.

Wayne holds a BBA and MA from the University of the Incarnate Word.
