Vivek Somasundaram

Vivek Somasundaram is the Manager of Grid Modernization Technology at Alectra Utilities where he is responsible for the DSO Project/Program. He has worked at Toronto Hydro as a Large Customer and Key Account Consultant and was also a Product Manager for Survalent where he shaped the product roadmap for their ADMS platform to support inclusion of DERs in utility operations. While at Opus One, Vivek worked on DER/Energy Storage projects in New York, Texas and California, and supported DSO projects in UK as well. Vivek holds an Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, along with 15 years of experience in the utility sector.
