Syed Qaseem Ali, PhD, Principal Advisor, has over ten years of industrial and academic work experience. Syed specializes in DERMS, DER Integration, DER modeling, simulation, and analysis of DERs, including their power electronic systems and their impacts on power systems. He has led industrial projects in developing controller hardware-in-the-loop (C-HIL) and power hardware-in-the-loop (P-HIL) testbeds for testing distributed energy resource (DER) controls and microgrid controls. He is an IEEE Senior Member and has published papers and written chapters on microgrid controls, DER controls, battery chargers for electric vehicles (EV), and energy management systems for charging stations.
