Steve Ray
Steve joined the energy sector in 2008 and brought a wealth of knowledge and accomplishments from his previous positions with Chrysler Corporation where, during his twelve-year career there, he most recently served as the Operations Manager for Windsor Assembly Plant, Chrysler’s largest vehicle assembly plant.
Since joining Essex Power Corporation in 2008, Steve has helped to successfully grow multiple affiliate companies involved in electrical distribution, generation, energy planning, engineering consulting, Smart Grid software application development, and Big Data analytics for utilities.
In his current role as Chief Operating Officer of Essex Power, Steve is responsible for the performance of both Utility, and Non-utility, businesses, and leads the organization with a sharp focus on demonstrating value and growth to community stakeholders, as well as shareholders.
Steve is registered with the Professional Engineers of Ontario and has held his Professional Engineer License since 1998. He completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering from the University of Windsor in 1996, and is also a certified Corporate Black Belt.
