Sherif Abdelrazek
Dr. Sherif Abdelrazek is the CEO and Co-Founder of Storlytics Energy Storage and a recognized expert in battery energy storage systems, microgrids, and renewable energy integration. He brings more than 15 years of experience in the planning, design, optimization, and execution of utility-scale energy storage and renewable energy projects. Prior to founding Storlytics, Dr. Abdelrazek led Duke Energy's engineering team responsible for the design and integration of battery energy storage, microgrid, and solar-plus-storage projects serving more than 8 million customers across six states. His experience spans project development, technology evaluation, system design, operational strategy, and lifecycle performance optimization, providing a unique perspective on how utilities evaluate and deploy energy storage assets. Under his leadership, Storlytics has supported utilities, developers, and asset owners worldwide with advanced analytics and decision-support tools for energy storage planning and optimization. Dr. Abdelrazek holds a B.S. in Electrical Power Engineering from Ain Shams University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is the author of numerous IEEE publications and holds multiple patents related to grid-connected energy storage technologies.
