Sheikh Jakir Hossain
Dr. Sheikh Jakir Hossain is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Storlytics Energy Storage and a recognized expert in utility-scale battery energy storage systems, power systems, and renewable energy integration. He brings more than 10 years of experience developing, evaluating, and executing energy storage projects across utility, developer, and independent power producer portfolios. Prior to co-founding Storlytics, Dr. Hossain served as Principal Engineer for Battery Energy Storage and Microgrids at Duke Energy, where he supported the development and deployment of utility-scale energy storage projects and grid modernization initiatives. His experience spans the full project lifecycle, including project origination, technology evaluation, interconnection support, EPC contracting, supplier qualification, project execution, and commissioning. At Storlytics, he helps utilities, developers, and asset owners optimize storage system design, technology selection, and long-term asset performance. Dr. Hossain holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is an author of multiple technical publications focused on energy storage and power system applications.
