Shawn Adderly is a Senior Manager and Chief of Staff to the Vice President of Transmission & Substation Operations in Electric Operations at PG&E. In this role, Shawn oversees the day-to-day management of several teams, executes strategic initiatives and advises the VP and senior management team. Since joining PG&E in 2016, Shawn has worked across Distribution and Substation Asset Engineering, Electric Vehicles and Clean Energy Strategy, Wildfire Mitigation and Projects & Construction. Shawn is an expert in grid modernization, reliability and data analytics and leverages his extensive experience in operations, business and industry drivers to solve unique and complex problems. Before joining PG&E, he served as a Manufacturing Engineer at IBM and worked on process improvement, defining business and production requirements. Shawn holds 15 United States patents and has authored several research journals articles. Shawn holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a master’s degree in statistics from the University of Vermont, and a master’s degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.
