Samrat Datta
Samrat Datta is Director of Advanced Network Planning at Entergy, where his work spans microgrid design, management of the distribution interconnection process, and the RTO stakeholder process. He has been with Entergy since 2003.
Samrat holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (2003) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Nagpur University, India (2001). He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
His published work covers system restoration and black-start planning, the application of dynamic VAR (D-VAR) technology at Entergy's Natchez station, and testing challenges for DERMS deployment, with papers presented at IEEE PES conferences including the Power Systems Conference and Exposition, T&D, and Grid Edge Technologies.
