Sabrina Nguyen
Sabrina Nguyen, Ph.D. is an Advanced Grid Engineer III at Duquesne Light Company (DLC), where she is currently working on the integration of new technology and processes into the distribution system. She manages and supports technological projects and liaisons with external partnerships to support DLC as an innovative, industry thought leader. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2026, where she also received her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 2020 and Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2022. Her thesis focused on the integration, placement, and control of distributed energy resources on rural circuits through leveraging different modeling software and code to run analyses to understand the impact of distributed energy resources on a circuit.
