Ryan Miller is a Senior Manager in Grid Technology Development: Distribution/DER Engineering Development & Testing at Southern California Edison (SCE). With 14 years of experience in automotive powertrain development and leadership, Ryan has been instrumental in advancing the adoption of electrified propulsion systems by deeply understanding customer needs and leveraging new technology capabilities to deliver production engineering solutions. Since joining SCE, Ryan has brought his unique background and expertise to the utility industry, accelerating the adoption of grid-enhancing technologies. He leads a team dedicated to enhancing SCE’s distribution and DER engineering capabilities through demonstrations, pilots, and the establishment of new technology standards. His team is involved in various innovative projects, including energy storage, distribution power flow control, microgrid/remote grids, and vehicle-to-grid integration. Ryan's expertise and leadership play a crucial role in driving innovation and ensuring the successful implementation of new technologies, helping SCE decarbonize its grid and achieve its Pathway 2045 goals.
