Director – Storm Secure Underground Program Power Delivery, Florida Power & Light Company

 Robert Gaddis is the Director of the Storm Secure Underground Program for Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). He is responsible for the successful implementation and oversight of this storm resiliency initiative, which seeks to strengthen or place underground a major portion of FPL's electric distribution system. Robert was named to this position in 2021.

Prior to his current role, Robert was the General Manager of Reliability for Power Delivery, overseeing FPL's transmission and distribution system performance metrics and reliability strategy. He formerly served as a Distribution Area Manager, leading an operations team that provided service to approximately 275,000 customers in western Miami-Dade County. He has also held various positions within Distribution Operations, Construction, and Control Center Operations, as well as supported many storm restoration and mutual assistance activities across the U.S. during his 17-year tenure with FPL.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida. Robert is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Florida.
