Pragna Pulusani
Pragna Pulusani is a Principal Engineer at Public Service Enterprise Group, where she leads the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to enhance electric distribution reliability, asset performance, and operational decision-making. With over 17 years of experience in utility engineering, asset management, and analytics, Pragna specializes in transforming complex operational data into actionable insights that support planning, operations, and regulatory objectives. In her current role within Asset Management & Centralized Services, she spearheads the design and deployment of enterprise analytics and visualization solutions, leveraging platforms such as the AVEVA PI System, cloud-based data environments, and Microsoft Power BI to deliver scalable dashboards for peak load analysis, asset monitoring, and grid performance evaluation. She has led numerous initiatives focused on reliability improvement, including predictive analytics models, circuit performance analysis, and data standardization efforts that enable cross-functional stakeholders to make informed, proactive decisions. Pragna has also played a key role in major infrastructure and regulatory programs, contributing to the successful approval of over $500 million in grid modernization investments and supporting measurable improvements in system reliability. Prior to her current role, she held leadership positions in NERC compliance and electric delivery planning, where she developed deep expertise in system modeling, regulatory standards, and transmission and distribution operations. A PMP-certified professional with a Master’s degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NJIT, Pragna is passionate about leveraging data and technology to address evolving grid challenges and drive continuous improvement across the utility industry.
