Osmani "Ozzy" Pais brings 14 years of utility experience to SRP. His career at SRP began in 2011 as an intern with the Electric Reliability Compliance group, where he worked on Operations and Planning (O&P) standards, ensuring SRP’s compliance with NERC and WECC standards. He later transitioned to Meter Engineering. During this period, he primarily managed the substation meter fleet, concentrating on revenue and power quality meters. He was responsible for upgrading and ensuring that the generation and interconnection meters met all requirements and served as a subject matter expert for metering's Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards. In Control Engineering, Ozzy designed, configured, and maintained Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) to ensure SCADA values were transmitted to SRP's Energy Management System, enhancing operational capabilities. Currently, Ozzy serves as the Manager of the Grid Performance Center, where he leads a team of engineers focused on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
