Neetika is Vice-President of the Alectra Green Energy and Technology Centre (GRE&T Centre), a collaboration hub which was launched to enable innovation and clean technology at Alectra and across the energy sector. It is where great minds collaborate to power a better tomorrow for customers, businesses, employees, and communities.
Neetika is a passionate participant in energy transformation and an established thought leader in clean technology and sustainability. Under her leadership, the GRE&T Centre has launched many innovative initiatives, such as a blockchain-based platform that enables the exchange of clean energy between consumers and the grid, North Americas first distribution-level local electricity market in collaboration with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), and a successful electricity pricing pilot that laid the foundation for a new ultra-low electricity rate for EV drivers which will become available in Ontario in 2023.
Neetika received Canadas Clean50 individual award in Traditional Energy and Generation in 2022 and was presented with the Champion Award by Energy Storage North America for her leadership in advancing energy storage technology.
Before joining Alectra, Neetika was the Chief Marketing Manager for Nissan LEAF and Cross-Overs in Canada, responsible for the launch of the all-electric, zero-emissions Nissan LEAF in Canada.
Neetika serves on the board of several industry associations such as Electric Mobility Canada, Windfall Ecology Centre and National Electricity Roundtable, and she served as Chair on the Board of NSERC Energy Storage Technology (NEST) Network.
She holds a Masters degree in Physics from Panjab University, an MBA from McMaster University, and'the Chartered Director (C. Dir.) designation from The Directors College, an Executive Program offered by the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.
In her personal time, Neetika enjoys cooking for friends and family, singing, and travelling. She also recently discovered a love for exploring Canada by RV.
