Ausgrid is Australia’s largest distributor of electricity located on Australia’s east coast, providing power to 1.8 million customers and powering Sydney’s CBD. Our network is made up of substations, powerlines, underground cables and power poles, spanning 22,275 square kilometres throughout Sydney, the Central Coast and the Hunter Valley of New South Wales.

Murray has 25 years of experience in the energy industry, including senior roles in both strategy and operations. He is a leader in asset management and technology adoption in industry with thorough understanding of end-to-end processes and a practical approach to implementation of innovation and change.

Murray Chandler was educated at the University of NSW and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (Hons), Computer Science and a Masters of Commerce (specialising in Organisation and Management Studies).

Murray now heads up the Network Strategy & Future Grid group at Ausgrid.
