Mohamed holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado. With over 18 years in the electric utility industry, he specializes in power system protection, automation, control, and organizational transformation. As Senior Manager of Protection, Automation, and Control at SRP, Mohamed leads strategic initiatives including PAC Digital Transformation and Substation Virtualization (vPAC), modernizing infrastructure and enhancing grid resiliency. His expertise spans strategic planning, technology adoption, regulatory compliance, and talent development. Prior to SRP, he held senior engineering roles at Xcel Energy and PPL Electric Utilities. An active IEEE member, Mohamed is recognized for bridging technical depth with strategic vision to advance reliable and sustainable power systems.
