Michael has been with Arizona Public Service for seven years focusing on innovation and grid modernization through DERMS.  Additionally, he is investigating value streams for grid-forming capable battery operations, how to mitigate impacts of flexible loads and generation including electric vehicles, and methods to optimize power quality while respecting the emergence of new DERs. Michael received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University.
