Matthew Wallace
Matthew Wallace is an engineer with PPL Electric Utilities, specializing in interoperability between DER and DERMS. For this work, Matt's team received numerous accolades, including Smart Electric Power Alliance’s 2019 Utility of the Year, Public Utilities Fortnightly’s 2019 Foremost Innovators & 2020 Foremost Innovator in Distributed Generation, and SunSpec Alliance Open Standard Champion 2024. He's served PPL in Distribution Standards, Distribution Planning, and Distribution Control Center Engineering. Matt is also an adjunct professor in Lehigh University's Energy Systems Engineering program. Previously, Matt served the New York State Public Service Commission as a subject matter expert in electric distribution systems and distributed energy technology.
