Matthew Mills has eight years of experience in the utility and energy sector, specializing in program design for vehicle-grid integration and distributed energy resources. Acting as a Business Development Manager at The Mobility House, he collaborates with electric utilities and energy partners across North America to deploy bidirectional EV charging solutions that support grid flexibility, optimize energy use, and advance decarbonization goals. Prior to joining The Mobility House, Matthew was a Technical Program Manager at Portland General Electric, where he designed and led pilot programs within the Smart Grid Test Bed and collaborated across teams to value the integration of customer-owned DERs into grid operations. His expertise spans interconnection coordination, flexible load management, and the development and exploration of innovative EV use cases. Matthew holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from UC Santa Barbara and an M.S. in Civil Engineering – Energy Infrastructure from the University of Washington.
