Matt specializes in DER Interoperability. In previous roles within PPL, Matt served in Distribution Planning and Distribution Standards. A key architect of PPL’s groundbreaking DER Management Project, Matt provided expert witness testimony throughout the proceeding. For this work, Matt and his team have received numerous accolades, including Smart Electric Power Alliance’s 2019 Utility of the Year and Public Utilities Fortnightly’s 2019 Foremost Innovators and 2020 Foremost Innovator in Distributed Generation. Prior to working at PPL, Matt was an energy planner with the New York State Public Service Commission, serving as a subject matter expert on leveraging smart inverters and energy storage to maximize electric distribution system hosting capacity.
