Manager, Grid Edge Planning & Engineering , Portland General Electric

Matt brings nearly 15 years of expertise recommending and successfully implementing operational technology solutions in the public and private utility sectors. As the Manager of Grid Edge Planning & Engineering at Portland General Electric (PGE), he currently leads PGE’s Smart Grid Test Bed initiative and teams developing and executing strategy for Next Gen AMI, Transportation Electrification Engineering, Technology Development, and IT/OT field devices. He has served as the Principal Investigator for multiple federally funded grant programs, including PGE’s $115M DOE grant initiative “Accelerating and Deploying Grid Edge Computing” and Connected Communities Project “SmartGrid Advanced Load Management & Optimized Neighborhood (SALMON)”. Matt is a licensed professional engineer and earned his Master's in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington.
