Mac is a manager of resilience at the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA). Mac joined SEPA in 2017 and has supported SEPA’s Annual Utility Survey, Utility Transformation Challenge, and subsequent industry reports, along with a range of additional research projects focused on utility decarbonization, grid modernization, electrification, and resilience. Mac is also one of the staff leads for SEPA’s Resilience Working Group, which looks to identify new business models, explore regulatory and financial innovations, address gaps in standards, and define use cases that drive new system requirements to help energy industry stakeholders assess the implementation of energy resilience solutions. Mac manages and drives SEPA's member outreach and research, multi-client studies, and resilience thought leadership, which includes state-wide and utility-specific resilience planning, DERs for resilience feasibility studies, program and regulatory support, stakeholder facilitation, customer engagement, and benchmarking.
