Luis Pizano joined Eversource in 2023 as the AMI Program Director, overseeing management, implementation, and operations of Eversource’s AMI initiatives.  Luis has over 20 years of experience in the utility industry as an AMI technology and project management expert.  Prior to joining Eversource, Luis worked as an AMI technology consultant for over a decade and prior to that worked for leading AMI and metering manufacturers.  He has worked with electric, water, and gas utilities throughout the U.S on nearly 50 AMI-related projects, supporting business case development, technology selection, project and program management, contract negotiation, vendor management, regulatory support, network design, system operations, and utility data analytics.  Before entering the utility industry, Luis worked for Intel Corporation working in various research & development and manufacturing engineering roles.  Luis has a degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
