Lee Krevat is the Founder and CEO of Krevat Energy Innovations, dedicated to advancing climate change mitigation by advising startups, utilities, regulators, legislators, and mission-driven organizations. His work focuses on accelerating ClimateTech solutions to market through strategic guidance, stakeholder alignment, and industry evangelism. Lee serves as a board member, advisor, or advisory board participant for more than a dozen startups. He is a long-time member of the advisory committee for DistribuTECH and GridWise Alliance board member. He evaluates early-stage companies for programs including the Southern California Energy Innovation Network (SCEIN), CalSEED, and CalTestBed, and mentors startups through Plug and Play Tech Center. He also facilitates sessions for the U.S. Department of Energy'''s Office of Electricity as part of the Voices of Experience: Data Center Integration program. Lee is the host of The Climate Champions podcast, where he has interviewed more than 165 leaders in climate innovation; he also co-hosts the Piloting the Future podcast. With over four decades of experience in the energy and technology sectors, Lee has been a leading voice in grid modernization and electrification. At San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, he founded and led the company'''s award-winning Smart Grid program and spearheaded electric vehicle initiatives, advancing grid modernization and EV integration. He has been twice recognized by GreenTech Media as one of the Top 100 Movers and Shakers in the smart grid industry and twice named a Top 12 Utility Mover and Shaker and Utility Champion by Intelligent Utility Magazine. Prior to founding Krevat Energy Innovations, Lee led New Ventures at Sempra Renewables, focusing on distributed energy solutions including solar, biomethane, EV charging, energy blockchain, and microgrids. He also played a key role at PXiSE Energy Solutions, where he helped bring advanced, high-speed grid control technologies to market. Earlier in his career, Lee led multiple software development teams at Tandem Computers and was a partner at TransPac Software, a Silicon Valley startup. Outside of his professional work, Lee performs improv and musical improv comedy, plays guitar and banjo, and enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with family and friends.
