Layne McWilliams
Layne McWilliams started his career on the jobsite of a large wastewater construction project and was involved in the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure for 18 years. For 12 years, he worked with with energy conservation teams trying to atone for the energy sins he committed as a designer. As part of that effort, he spent a good deal of time helping water and wastewater systems optimize operations, save energy, and save money through strategic energy management engagements. Now once again on the design side, he's working to give energy efficiency as much attention as is given hydraulics in water infrastructure projects. He is a PE with a Mechanical Engineering degree from MIT and a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law in Portland, OR. He lives in Hayden, ID with his wife Margaret and their highly spoiled, semi-ADHD dogs.
