Electrical Engineering Manager, Loveland Water & Power

Kraig has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Kraig started his career in Colorado Springs Utilities as an electrical engineer in a power plant. Finding the broad and varied work in the distribution and transmission side fascinating, Kraig moved to that side of the business, and served as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Colorado Springs Utilities in their Standards group before joining Fort Collins Utilities Light & Power. Kraig stays active in the utility industry as a senior member in the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and leads a several working groups at the IEEE Insulated Conductors Committee on forensic analysis of equipment failures. Between the first two utilities, Kraig was exposed to and worked with many different areas of interest including distribution system planning, electric metering, meter reading, engineering standards, warehouse/materials management, electric project engineering and design, material failure forensic analysis, strategic capital improvement programs, and much more. Kraig is now an Engineering Manager with the City of Loveland Water and Power utility in Northern Colorado.
