Justin McCann, P.E., is Vice President of Engineering at West Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, where he leads engineering strategy and infrastructure development to support reliable, affordable electric service for cooperative members. In this role, he oversees system planning, design, and modernization initiatives that enable the cooperative to adapt to evolving grid demands and emerging technologies.

With nearly two decades of experience in the electric utility industry, Justin brings deep expertise in power system planning, analytics, and distributed energy integration. Prior to joining West Kentucky RECC, he served as Vice President of Engineering at Today’s Power, Inc., where he led the design, integration, and regulatory approval of utility-scale renewable energy and next-generation power systems. His earlier career includes leadership roles in consulting, where he directed planning and analytics efforts focused on long-range system design, financial forecasting, cost-of-service studies, and distribution system modeling for utilities across the region.

Justin is an active contributor to the industry, serving as a committee member, author, and presenter for the IEEE Rural Electric Power Conference. He is passionate about helping cooperatives and utilities leverage data, engineering best practices, and innovative technologies to enhance grid resilience, integrate distributed energy resources, and deliver long-term value to the communities they serve.
