Juliana Lopes Tanus Soares

Juliana holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) and works as an Innovation Analyst I at Energisa Group, one of Brazil's largest energy distribution conglomerates. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research at the Electric Power Distribution Laboratory (LADEE/UFU) on voltage indicators in networks with distributed energy resources, completed an internship in Energisa's Innovation division focused on EV charging and demand response, and developed her thesis on active and reactive power curve typologies of EV chargers in operation. She also held roles in People Management at the junior enterprise CONSELT and was a member of the Tutorial Education Program (PET). In her current role, she contributes to FlexLab, Energisa's open innovation platform driving the country's first structured energy flexibility program, with initiatives spanning Virtual Power Plants, Demand Response, Smart EV Charging, and AI-driven forecasting.
