Jim Shields

Managing Director - Investment Planning, Black & Veatch

Jim is an electrical engineer with over 30 years of experience in T&D engineering and operations with electric utilities. Since joining Black & Veatch he has developed value models that monetize the benefits of T&D investments and built out value frameworks for clients T&D investments. He has broad knowledge in how electric T&D systems are designed, operated and maintained. Jim has led the development of and received approval for, large T&D investment plans. He has experience testifying in regulatory proceedings in support and defense of the investments plans. Jim holds a B.S. from Purdue University, an M.B.A. from the University of Indianapolis along with being a licensed P.E..
