Jim is an entrepreneurial executive, focused mostly on the utility engineering and technology sectors, and has led the formation and maturation of numerous businesses over his 35-year career, including Enspiria Solutions, Excergy Corporation, High Summit Partners, and Gratitude Ranch. His expertise in developing and delivering powerful strategies that solve complex problems and drive profitable organizational growth has led to success for hundreds of clients across North America. He is the author of "Successful Smart Grid Implementation" and “The Electrical Grid,” widely regarded books that provides understanding of the grid and the planning and execution of smart grid projects. Jim is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a long-time member of the DistribuTECH Advisory Committee, and a frequent speaker and educator on smart grid and business management topics.
