Director Security Policy, Exelon

India James leads Security Policy at Exelon, a leading energy delivery company serving over 10 million customers through six regulated transmission and distribution utilities with services in Washington D.C., Illinois, Maryland, Delware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. 

As Director of Security Policy, India is responsible for physical security, cybersecurity, and technology policies that protect company assets, including power systems, OT/IT infrastructure, and sensitive business and customer information through collaborative efforts that incorporate risk management, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and actionable, workable business practices with priorities such as affordability. 

India has a track record of leading teams that engage with key stakeholders, including prominent commercial customers such as real estate and energy developers/operators, data centers, hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturers, food processors, water treatment & pumping facilities, and refineries. She has managed departments handling a growing portfolio of large commercial and industrial accounts including high-profile customers such as the US Capitol and the White House. 

India's experience beyond transmission and distribution extends to leading both renewable and nonrenewable energy generation teams with real estate responsibilities supporting the development and financing of energy assets including wind, solar, oil, gas, and battery storage facilities while devising and executing creative strategies and risk management protocols that balance stakeholder interests. 

She has played a significant role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention, with a focus on sustainabiliy, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, power quality, and reliability. 

India has built critical infrastructure, supported customers, and now she protects them both.
