Dr. Inalvis Alvarez Fernandez is a DER systems expert and senior engineer at Simple Thread, where she supports utility modernization efforts through advanced data and integration strategies. Prior to joining Simple Thread, she spent over three years at EPRI working on grid-edge modeling and DER integration tools. Inalvis holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Central Florida, where her research focused on self-healing microgrids and grid flexibility.
