Hiva Nasiri, Ph.D., is an executive consultant specialized in EMT simulation, DER integration, microgrid design, and distribution planning. Over his decade-long career, he has led more than 300 utility studies across eight U.S. states, with recent work focusing on datacenter analysis and large-scale microgrid EMT modeling. He holds a Ph.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he established their RTDS laboratory. Hiva is an IEEE Senior Member and an Editorial Board Member for IEEE Electrification and IEEE Energy Sustainability magazines. Additionally, Hiva is a certified professional engineer in the state of Illinois.
