He also has expertise in power system studies and analytical tools such as PSSE, CAPE, ASPEN, Powerfactory, and RTDS. Recently, Hannes has been involved in several industrial and utility projects focusing on microgrid control systems, automated protection settings, and high-speed falling conductor protection. These projects include hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and those involving real-time automation controllers such as the GE Power Gateway and the SEL RTAC.
