Hamed Valizadeh is a Principal Technical Lead at Southern California Edison, where he leads the development of AI-driven solutions and award-winning initiatives for grid operations. He brings over 18 years of experience across the power industry, national laboratories, and research institutions. Hamed holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and is a Senior Member of IEEE. He has secured more than $50 million in NSF and DOE funding and has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications, including articles in IEEE Transactions and widely cited technical reports. He was also the lead architect of NSF DERConnect, a national testbed for integrating distributed energy resources into the grid.
