Haile Gashaw
Haile Gashaw has been working his entire professional career in the power industry. He joined Georgia Power Company in 2001 and has been working in the areas of Transmission Protection and Control, Distribution Reliability, and DER Interconnection and Commissioning (Witness Testing). He has been involved in crafting DER interconnection and test policies, protection settings philosophies, protection and control standards, DER Witness Testing procedures.
Currently he is working as a Principal Engineer in Power Delivery Distribution, Grid Strategy and Solutions organization at Georgia Power Company with responsibilities for system protection coordination, witness testing and integration of distributed energy resources (DER) to GPC’s distribution system.
Haile obtained his BSEE from Addis Ababa University and graduate diploma from Schmalkalden University of Applied Science, Germany.
Haile is a registered Professional Engineer and a senior IEEE member.
