Geri is Head of Grid Innovation at the Alectra Green Energy and Technology Centre (GRE&T Centre), a collaboration hub that enables innovation and harnesses the power of emerging clean technology at Alectra and across the energy sector. 

Geri has over 20 years of experience in the electricity industry. As an established thought leader in energy innovation, Geri has been at the forefront of Alectra's efforts in utilities transformation to the grid of future, leveraging grid modernization technologies and building unparalleled strategic partnerships and collaboration in the ecosystem. 

Under her leadership, the GRE&T Centre has delivered a number of first, new grid-edge solutions such as Canada’s first end-to-end integrated household GHG solution, Canada’s first transactive energy platform developed and piloted by a utility, and a North America first distribution-level local electricity market in partnership with IESO. These transformative initiatives enable the movement towards net zero communities and have been recognized with awards from the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP), Electricity Canada and Professional Engineering Ontario (PEO).

Geri is a recipient of the 2024 Clean50 Award, recognizing exceptional leaders across Canada who have made significant contributions to advancing climate action and developing innovative climate solutions. She serves on industry committees such as Electricity Distributors Association and National Electricity Roundtable. 

Prior to joining the GRE&T Centre, Geri served as Director of Business Development and Sales at Alectra Energy Solutions, where she led business strategy development, economic evaluation of commercial investments, and stakeholder engagement.
