Esther Lind is a senior executive in the energy sector, driving the energy transition within Germany’s largest distribution network operator Westznetz GmbH, an E.ON SE affiliate. With over 20 years of experience across industry and energy, Esther is recognized for leading transformation, fostering innovation, and ensuring long-term customer success.

Her career began in 2006 at voestalpine Group as an R&D engineer, developing aircraft engine components at the voestalpine Bohler Aerospace GmbH. She later advanced to lead global sales for this business unit Aero Engines, gaining deep insights into international markets and cultures. In 2015, Esther joined voestalpine’s High Performance Metals Division in Vienna, Austria, where she shaped the group’s aviation strategy during a major growth phase. After serving as Managing Director at Salzburger Aluminium Group in 2022, she transitioned to Westnetz in 2023 as Vice President of Regional Technology & Product Management, where she now leads a team of more than 1,000 operational employees through large-scale grid expansion projects.

Esther holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Graz University of Technology and earned an Executive MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2023. A passionate advocate for diversity and leadership development, she mentors emerging leaders and serves on the board of WomenUniverse. She lives in Essen, Germany.
