Doug Middleton is a seasoned energy professional with deep expertise in business development for utility and virtual power plant initiatives. Currently at Tesla, he leads efforts in expanding grid-interactive solutions to support a dynamic and resilient electric grid. Prior to Tesla, he led Business Development at Leap, where he focused on strategic partnerships across smart buildings, electric vehicles, and energy storage. Doug has also contributed to program strategy and executive-level operations at CLEAResult. He holds a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University and two Bachelors degrees from Penn State University one in Energy, Business, and Finance and on in Energy Engineering.
