Doug Cherney is Director of Critical Infrastructure for Minuteman Security & Life Safety, leading business development and strategic growth initiatives focused on securing complex operational environments across the energy, utility, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors.

Doug brings over two decades of experience helping organizations protect people, assets, and operations through integrated security technologies and operational risk management strategies. Prior to joining Minuteman, he served as BDM – Energy at Motorola Solutions, working closely with utility providers and critical infrastructure operators to strengthen physical, operational, and cybersecurity initiatives. He also held leadership positions at Prosegur and Rekor Systems, supporting organizations deploying advanced surveillance technologies, AI-enabled analytics, license plate recognition solutions, and enterprise security programs.

Doug is a former U.S. Marine Corps intelligence leader, serving as a Russian linguist and HUMINT specialist supporting counterintelligence, tactical missions, and special operations. Throughout his career, he focused on strengthening security and operational resilience in high-risk environments.
