Christian Ruvalcaba is a senior engineer at Southern California Edison (SCE). He began his career as a design engineer specializing in custom transformers, where he had the opportunity to assist numerous customers while acquiring extensive knowledge in transformer design, magnetics, and power systems. He earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. Currently, at SCE, he leverages his skills to develop processes and standards for microgrid implementation, utilizing software tools such as CYME, PSCAD, and CAPE to assess the functionality and safety of proposed microgrid projects.
