Chad Burnett

Vice President, Regulatory and Finance, AEP Texas

Chad Burnett is the Vice President of Regulatory and Finance for AEP-Texas.  In this role, Chad oversees the development and execution of the operating company regulatory strategy while managing and reporting on the performance of the Company’s financial plans in the near and long-term.  

Prior to this role, Chad was the Managing Director of Economic & Supply Forecasting for American Electric Power where he oversaw the development of the budget and long-term forecasts of customers, sales, peak demand, and revenues for all of the AEP regulated utilities operating in 11 different states.  He also oversaw the development of the Company’s fundamentals forecast as well as the development of the Company’s generation and production cost forecasts for the AEP system.  

Chad has worked as an Economist for AEP for over 25 years.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance as well as an MBA from the University of Tulsa.  He has also completed the AEP Strategic Leadership Program at the Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business.

Chad also teaches as an adjunct professor of Economics in the MBA program for Southern Nazarene University, which he has done since 2003.
