Brian Kooiman is a leader in the firm's energy markets and grid services practices along with the building decarbonization verticals. His expertise was honed at OhmConnect, a first-of-its-kind direct-to-customer demand response provider, where he led efforts across regulatory advocacy, partnership building, revenue origination, and energy market operations. 

Brian is an authoritative source on the cutting edge of the energy transition, particularly around how distributed energy resources and customer behavior can be leveraged to create a cleaner, more flexible, and more resilient grid.

Brian received his Master of Public Policy (MPP) with a focus on Resources, Environment, and Energy from Stanford University. Brian also attended Stanford University as an undergraduate, where he double-majored in Civil Engineering and Economics. Brian lives in Minnesota with his wife and two daughters.
