Betsy Soehren Jones
Betsy is an energy operations executive specializing in cyber security, data, and artificial intelligence . Prior to joining West Monroe, she served as the Chief Operating Officer for the electric and gas industry’s Center of Excellence for Cyber Supply Chain Security. In this role, Betsy worked across the sector to design, implement, and deploy guidelines for manufacturers and software technologies to follow with respect to cyber security. She expanded the Center to include 50+ utilities and >2,000 vendors and their products. Betsy now works closely with the Private Equity and Venture Capital communities to ensure emerging technologies are digitally safe for utility consumption and utilization.
Prior to her COO role, Betsy spent a majority of her career at Exelon in various roles within Cyber Security, Information Protection, Customer Operations, Field and Meter Services, Emergency Preparedness, Regulatory Rates, and Compliance. She brings extensive operations experience in leading the development of next-gen critical infrastructure.
Betsy also serves as the company’s liaison with the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and State Public Utility Commissions with respect to AI, cyber security, and data science. She often researches and writes thought leadership responses to public Request for Information(s). Betsy also maintains relationships with the Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs) for the oil, gas, electric, and water sectors. She volunteers as the Executive Director of the Critical Infrastructure Security Consortium, an organization dedicated to benchmarking practices across the sectors.
