Annegret Hermanns is an experienced leader in the energy sector, driving operational excellence and transformative change in grid management at Germany’s largest distribution network operator Westznetz GmbH, an E.ON SE affiliate. With deep expertise in leading cross-functional teams and implementing digital solutions, she optimizes processes and develops customer-centric strategies. Her focus is on empowering people and maintaining resilient, future-ready infrastructures.

Since March 2024, Annegret has served as Director of Regional Operations at Westnetz GmbH, where she oversees operational steering within regional technology. Previously, she worked as IT Coordinator for core maintenance processes (2021–2024), driving digital transformation and process optimization. Her career began in 2010 at RWE, where she held various roles - from quality coordination and business development to project leadership - contributing significantly to the advancement of grid services and innovation projects such as DESIGNETZ.

Annegret holds a diploma in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Electrical Energy Technology from RWTH Aachen University. She is a native German speaker, fluent in English, and has basic proficiency in French. A strong advocate for diversity and sustainability, she is committed to supporting the green energy transition. She lives in Essen, Germany.
