Andrew Abranches
Andy is the Vice President leading PG&E’s Wildfire Mitigation Team. In this role, he is responsible for the teams delivering PG&E’s Wildfire Mitigation Plan, Risk Modeling and Analytics work, Ignitions Investigations, Public Safety Power Shutoff Program, Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings Program, Continuous Monitoring Program and Wildfire Strategy. The work performed by his team guides both operational decision-making during fire season and long-term resiliency planning for PG&E.
Andy joined the PG&E team in 2008 and has worked in Electric Operations, Gas Operations, Finance, HR and Risk Management.
He holds a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
