This multi-utility session brings together Tampa Electric and Sacramento Municipal Utility District to explore how customer engagement strategies are shaping the next phase of EV and DER program growth. Through complementary utility perspectives, the session will examine managed EV charging, solar visibility and time-of-use optimization as practical pathways to increase participation, improve customer value and support grid flexibility.

Tampa Electric will share how EV load control programs can deliver bill credits and lower rate opportunities while advancing demand response objectives. SMUD will discuss how real-time DER awareness can strengthen customer identification, outreach and enrollment.
