Reliability and Resilience

Wildfire risk is a shared threat, but the tools and resources utilities have available to them, and the regulatory environments they operate in, vary widely. This session will examine how utilities translate wildfire intelligence into operational and long-term planning decisions, and how utilities of different sizes and types are developing wildfire mitigation strategies that efficiently buy down risk.

In this session, SDG&E, PNM, and Kit Carson Electric Cooperative will discuss how their planning processes, technology adoption, and investment priorities change given their size and utility type.

Attendees will walk away with a sense of how wildfire mitigation planning varies across utility types and which threats utilities of all sizes and types are prioritizing in a changing wildfire landscape.
